Good-morning all!
There was no post yesterday because I was traveling home from Ventura. Ah, we had such a nice, relaxing weekend with the family.
We packed up to be in Ventura from last Wednesday to yesterday afternoon. This is only my half of the suitcase The Hubby added in his things too. I’m a lighter packer than he is
While we were there… I got to enjoy so many things about home. First, Dad’s cooking!
I got to work standing up (thank you Lord!) from the parents bar. It’s no fun sitting all day!
I got to drink out of my Dad’s old-school mug (his name is Terry). I just love this mug.
I got to read sitting right next to Grandma in the living room.
I got to enjoy Mom’s SO GOOD breakfasts. Now, SHE is the queen of the perfect eggs. Ha!
I got to get ready to celebrate my soon-to-be-neice! I’m going to be an auntie!
Saturday, we celebrated my Seester and her soon-to-be-Sofia. We had her shower at Aloha Steakhouse in Ventura. Yum! So good.
I started my meal with a side salad w/ bleu cheese.
For lunch I got blackened (spicy!) white roughy with wild rice.
We drank champagne.
Here is me & my Seester Jinna. I’m lucky my Brother married her almost 12 years ago. I’ve got a sister now just like I’ve always wanted! It was such a sweet shower. My Mom did a GREAT job!
I took a ton of photos, so now I’m in charge of sending them out Gotta get to it this weekend!
On Sunday evening we had a double rainbow in Ventura! Can you see the double?
On our way home Monday… we hit the craziest storm I’ve ever driven through in CA. It was hailing so hard under those clouds that a layer of snow formed on the freeway! We could hardly see & the freeway slowed waaaaaaaay down. Us Californian’s don’t know how to handle that Mix in lightening and you’ve got yourself a storm that I would have so enjoyed being INSIDE of the house… not driving through it! Ha!
For lunch, Marco and I went to Firestone in San Luis Obispo. Luckily, the storm stopped before SLO. I got the steak cobb salad. How crazy amazing does that look? It was SO good!
While walking to Firestone I stopped by to grab a New Times Paper (free Magazine in SLO) to check out the ad space I purchased inside. We’ll see if this does good! My desire is to meet more women in this area for coaching
