Good-morning beautiful! <3

How was your weekend?

Mine was well. Marco had a birthday on Thursday (Happy Birthday M!) and Saturday, as we know, was Valentines Day.

On Thursday Marco’s parents came up to SLO. They’ve got more energy than we do! On their first day here we: went wine tasting, checked-out the Madonna Inn, went to dinner in Morro Bay (Giancarlo’s), walked around the SLO Farmer’s Market, and got two new books from Barnes & Nobles. Cheryl, Marco’s grandma, bought one (The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up) and I bought the other. We’re going to switch off :).

it was me all along

Anyone read this yet?

On Friday, we did even more. We started the day off in Big Sur. On our way up we stopped to see the Elephant Seals & caught glimpse of the Zebra’s on the 1 (Hearst Castle used to have a Zoo, and because they released the animals we now have Zebra’s in California! Haha).

See them in the background? Crazy looking… they’re HUGE!

We went to Tree Bones (<< check it out, it’s an awesome resort!) and ate lunch overlooking the water.

My lunch was incredible. I’m going to remake it this week & share the recipe with you!

We walked around, looked at the Yurts, and played in this incredible hammock. I mean… Don’t you want this too?! Plus the view as you’re laying down… ah… So gorgeous…

We also visited Ragged Point which was crazy beautiful.

When we got back to SLO we rested for a while and then went to dinner at Cafe Roma. This was deeeeelicious! We were toast for the night after this. We got some good rest & spent time together the next morning over coffee – coffee that M brought to me in bed. Grateful for him taking his time to do this for me :).

Once M’s parents left we went on a hike at Reservoir Canyon with our friends Hannah & Dusty. Hannah is a good friend of mine from high school who we now live near. It was SO fun to see them. SLO is crazy green & beautiful right now – see?

The rest of Valentines Day was me and the Hubs adventuring around. We drove to Santa Margarita Lake, had Mexican Food for lunch in SLO, went for a long walk, and had dinner at home. And of course, watched many episodes of Friends on Netflix :).

That was our weekend! Sunday, like most Sunday’s recently was mine to do what I wanted with, since M was working all day. I went to Church, ran errands, cleaned house & did laundry, re-organized my office (I’m going to do a fun office post soon), and went to Small Group at night.

All in all, it was a great, full weekend :).

What did you do this weekend? Did you do anything new? Have you ever been to Big Sur?

Let me know in the comments.
