Good morning everyone, and happy Monday!
This week, it’s all starting. Here’s another timeline for you, since I’m so into timelines lately. Ha!
- Friday — Hair Appt., Sign Lease, Paige Start Moving
- Saturday — Paige Cont. Moving, Bachelorette Party
- Sunday — Wake Up, Relax with My Girls, Marco’s Moving Day
- Monday — Paige Finish Moving, Unpack, Organize, Settle Into New Place
AH! I used “Paige” and “Marco” so it would be more understandable. This time, we’re separating moving days. Ha! I’ve got all the little boxes and packing. Oh, and my clothes… because moving clothes on hangers doesn’t sit well with Marco. They fall off as he’s moving them. We will unpack together, but let’s be honest, I love unpacking/organizing so it will be mostly me. This boy is going to need rest after Sunday. He’s doing way more. He’s working full days all week, plus Friday & Saturday. Sunday, he’s hardly going to sleep at all and then he and his buddies are going to move all of the furniture. BIG ol’ task.
Here’s another timeline… just to put things into perspective…
- This Friday we’re moving
- Next Friday is the fourth of JULY
- That means next Friday there is only 4 WEEKS until the big day and HONEYMOON
4 WEEKS.
Who remembers when we got engaged in November of 2012?
Can I just say how glad I am that we took our time and had a longer engagement? That was sooo essential for us.
PLUS, something I’ve learned to be soo grateful for is PATIENCE.
MY gosh. I’ve been so excited for the future lately, and it’s had me practicing patience day in and day out. BUT, I’ve learned that delayed gratification is a GIFT. Happiness comes from waiting for something good just as much as is does when you get that something good! When of course, you’re expectantly waiting (you know it’s coming for sure — you’re not guessing).
It was the beginning of May when I first posted about the apartment. Can you believe that? I’m so glad we chose the longer route and waited until July to move in. We were able to save more, I got to experience the excitement of getting our first Married place for longer, and I got to enjoy this last time I have in my parents home.
On Saturday after doing Step with my Dad, I sat downstairs while he taught me how to cook and organized my hair accessory drawers. These things get so messy after a while. I used old rubber bands to organize my hair clips! Worked so well!
I’ve packed up as much as possible, and for the things that can’t be packed away yet, I’ve just placed them in boxes and left them open, like this one.
I’ve cleared off my boards…
Cleared the shelves… except for the binders! Look how pretty pretty pretty…! I’m waiting for the last 24 pages of each binder. There was a goof-up on the company’s end, but they called me this morning and fixed it right away.
You should see our garage. It’s packed full of boxes that I’ll be moving this Friday/Saturday. I can’t wait to lay my seats down, fill up my car, and drive it downtown to our new place. I know you can’t tell that I’m excited though
Enjoy your Monday everyone. I’ll try not to let this excitement get too overbearing.
See you tomorrow!
Love, Paige
