2:45 middle eastern flatbread wrap with hummus, turkey, tomato, lettuce, spinach, and half a piece of havarti. On the side I had a few multi-grain crackers with hummus & 2 pickles

6:00 banana before showing our apartment – I was so hungry, and needed something to hold me over

7:30 Marco and I decided on burritos. It sounded so good, and I figured making them at home would be a healthy choice :) I used brown rice, beans, a little sprinkle of cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, a dallop of plain yogurt, and homemade corrales salsa that my Dad makes. So good!

For dessert, Marco asked me to make him a chocolate shake. So, I did. He’s loving all this food at my parents house… of course, I didn’t want to feel left out, so I got out a little cup and had a few sips myself. Craving satisfied :)

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Remember, it’s just another day with a little more gratitude added to it. Don’t feel like you need to stuff your bellies until you can’t walk. Keep the enjoyment in today, and spend some extra time being thankful for what you have. Enjoy all of the amazing foods, and keep the guilt away. I like to think of my Thanksgiving meal as a chance to taste everything that has been made, and a chance to eat real food. One great thing about Thanksgiving food is that people usually use real ingredients and none of that sugar-free, fat-free stuff.

I’m thankful for each and every one of you reading HHTS this morning. You keep me going!
